Who we are

This website is operated by Frochi Yogurt Pty Ltd (ABN 85 699 161 843), trading as Frochi at 2/18 Stamford Road, Indooroopilly QLD 4068.

This policy covers the website only. If you visit the shop, anything collected in store is separate from what is described here.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, what your enquiry is about and your message. A phone number is optional. We collect what you type and nothing else.

Automatically, with that enquiry. We record the IP address and browser details the message arrived from, along with the time. This is used to stop the form being used for spam, by limiting how many messages can be sent from one place in a short period.

If you work here. Staff accounts for the website’s admin area hold a name, an email address and an encrypted password, plus a record of sign in attempts and the devices used. That record exists so an unauthorised sign in can be noticed.

Ordinary web traffic. Our hosting provider keeps short lived request logs, which include IP addresses, as every web host does.

We do not sell anything through this website. There is no online ordering, no account for customers to create, no loyalty programme and no payment processing, so we never collect card or bank details.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to consider a job application if that is what you sent, to keep the website working and secure, and to understand in general terms which pages people visit. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not send newsletters.

Cookies and analytics

The public pages of this site do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. The admin area sets a session cookie, which is only relevant to staff signing in.

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records visits rather than identities, and it may set its own cookies. You can block it with your browser settings or a browser extension, and the site works normally without it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not disclose it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the site, and your information is handled by them only so they can provide that service:

• Vercel, which hosts the website (United States).
• Turso, which stores the database, including enquiries (Japan).
• Resend, which delivers the notification email when an enquiry is sent (United States).
• Google, for the analytics described above (United States).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Information held overseas

Some of the providers above are outside Australia, so your information is stored and processed overseas. Specifically, the database that holds enquiry messages is located in Japan, and our hosting, email delivery and analytics providers operate from the United States.

We name the countries rather than saying only that information may go overseas, because knowing where it goes is the point of telling you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering you and for our own records, and are deleted when they are not. You can ask us to delete yours sooner. Staff account records are kept while the account exists.

Asking for a copy, or a correction

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand your information to somebody else.

You can also contact us without giving your name, though if you do we may not be able to answer a question about a specific enquiry.

Keeping it safe

Access to the admin area needs a password and is limited to people who work here. Passwords are stored encrypted and are never readable, by us or by anyone else. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted.

No system is perfectly secure, and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed. We do not claim otherwise.

Tell us first, using the details below, and we will try to sort it out. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
